premiere from The Singers

Paul's latest choral work, titled If It Was Your Son, will receive its world premier from The Singers: Minnesota Choral Artists on their October Journey Home concerts focusing on issues of immigration. The work draws on the words of 16-year-old Syrian journalist Mohammed Najem, which draw attention to how easily those who are living in privilege can turn a blind eye to atrocities befalling children that they would move the world to prevent happening to their own.

The concerts will take place on Saturday, October 19th at 7:30 PM at House of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul and Sunday, October 20th at 3:00 PM at Annunciation Church in Minneapolis, MN.
